Mr. Franklin P. Hudson, Sr., Age 83, of Gumboro, DE passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2012.
Mr. Hudson was born in Gumboro, DE on January 5, 1929 to the late Fred and Louise Vincent Hudson. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Bonita Baker and a brother, Fred Hudson.
Frank retired as a State Highway Supervisor from the State of Delaware Department of Transportation, where he was employed for over 30 years. He also owned and operated a farm where he harvested crop and raised chickens. He was a member of the Gumboro Wesleyan Church. He was a hard worker, devoted family man and loved to go camping.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jeanette Gordon Hudson, children; Jerry F. Hudson and his wife Arlene of Gumboro, DE; Terry Fleming and her husband Aaron “Flip” of Georgetown, DE; Tommy V. Hudson and his wife Carol of Gumboro, DE; Franklin Hudson, Jr. “Frankie” of Ocean View, DE; and Richard Hudson of Greenwood, DE; son-in-law, Rusty Baker of Gumboro, DE; brother, Charles Hudson of Gumboro, DE; grandchildren; Tommy V. Hudson, Jr. and his wife Faye of Georgetown, DE; Matthew Baker of Gumboro, DE, and one great grandchild, Samantha Hudson.
A funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor David Souder will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Millsboro Cemetery.
