Stacey Lynn Schaub Close of Laurel, and formerly of Illinois, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2013, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD after a sudden illness. She was 39 years old. She was born on October 24, 1973 in Lincoln, Illinois. She moved to Delaware in 1997. She is a graduate of Eisenhower High School, in Decatur, IL and Immaculata University. She was a Case Manager for Fellowship Health Resources. She loved camping, decorating, and crayon coloring. She was a fan of novelist James Patterson. She was a good person, very loving, but had a great and sometimes strong personality, and would do all she could to help others. She is survived by her mother: Richelle Barger and her husband Michael, of Laurel, DE; her father: Paul Schaub, Jr., of Lincoln, DE; and was preceded by her step-mother: Glenna Schaub. She is also survived by her beloved daughter: Christina Lynn Bethards and six siblings: Sara; Richard; Michael; Brian; Dustin; and Jamie. A seventh sibling, and brother, Daniel, preceded her. She also leaves behind her special friends: Elmer Bethards; Glenn Hudson; and Dawn Ruhl along with many extended family members and friends. It would be remiss not to also note her “kitty” friends: Frick and Frack; and her “doggie” friends: Dusty; Zeus; and Pugsley. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Her Life will be held in her honor on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at the Watson Funeral Home; 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro where friends may call one hour for visitation with the family. The Celebration will be moderated by Marcie Altman. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions for Breast Cancer Research through the Susan G. Komen for the Cure; ATTN: Donor Services; P.O. Box 650309; Dallas, Texas 75265-0309.
