Funeral Services
At Watson Funeral Home, we offer your family choices when it comes to funeral services. You may choose a ground burial, entombment in a mausoleum, choose to have your loved ones ashes or buried. We listen carefully to the needs of your family and we help you choose and customize your loved ones funeral. Prices effective January 1, 2007.
We offer a variety of burial caskets through the York Group and burial vaults through Wilbert Online. For more information and prices on caskets offered by Watson Funeral Home, please contact us.
Services:
Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff and Overhead
For $1,575.00, our services include: conducting the arrangements conference, planning the funeral, consulting with family and clergy, shelter of remains, preparing and filing of necessary notices, obtaining necessary permits and authorizations, coordinating with the cemetery, crematory, or other third parties. In addition, this fee includes a proportionate share of our basic overhead costs. This fee for our basic services and overhead will be added to the total cost of the funeral arrangements you select. (This fee is already included in our charges for direct cremations, immediate burials and forwarding or receiving remains.)
Immediate Burial with Cloth Covered Casket
Our $3,355.00 charge for an immediate burial (without ceremony) includes basic services of funeral director and staff, a proportionate share of overhead costs, removal of remains, local transportation to the cemetery and a Wilbert Concrete Grave Box. If a grave liner is not required by the cemetery, and you do not wish to have the grave liner, then you can deduct $735.00 from the above charge. The immediate burial fee does not include any cemetery fees, grave opening charge by the vault company, or certified copies of the death certificate. (Additional mileage charges may apply.)
Embalming
Cost for Embalming is $725.00. Except in certain cases, embalming is not required by law. However, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with a viewing, embalming may be
necessary. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.
Refrigeration Charges (Per Day)
This $45.00 charge is a daily fee for sheltering remains on a long term basis. Three days of refrigeration are included in our basic service charge.
Other Preparation of Body
This $225.00 fee includes: dressing and casketing remains, washing and disinfecting remains, cosmetics, restorative work, and beautician or barber. This charge applies to disinfection and preparation of a body for identification viewing and cremation.
Transfer of Remains to Funeral Home
Cost for transferring is $250.00. We transfer the remains within a 50 mile radius. Beyond this we charge $2.50 per mile one way.
Receiving Remains from Another Funeral Home
Our $1,575.00 charge includes basic services of funeral director and staff, a proportionate share of overhead costs, care of remains, transportation of remains to funeral home and to cemetery or crematory.
Forwarding of Remains to Another Funeral Home
Our $1,575.00 charge includes basic services of funeral director and staff, a proportionate share of overhead costs, care of remains, removal of remains, embalming, or other preparation of remains, if relevant, and local transportation. Includes shipping tray but not airfare.
Use of Facilities and Staff for Viewing at Funeral Home
Our $450.00 charge is per day for a 2 hour viewing night prior to funeral service. Additional fee of $100.00 if viewing exceeds 2 hours.
Use of Automotive Equipment
This $425.00 charge includes the use of the Hearse for the Casket ($225.00), use of the Service Vehicle for transporting flowers and equipment ($100.00) and the use of the Sedan to lead procession or as a Family Car ($100.00). (You may opt to delete any vehicle you do not wish to use.)
Outer Burial Containers
Outer Burial Containers range from $735.00 to $8,460.00.
Casket Price List
A complete list of casket prices and vaults available through Watson Funeral Home will be provided in your information packet. In addition to the caskets on display in the selection room, there are many choices available in the ordering book. Prices range from $402.00 to $7,915.00.
Document Fee Surcharge
This $45.00 fee only applies when a signed death certificate is not supplied to the funeral home at the time of removal and a staff member must travel to a hospital, nursing home or a doctor's office to obtain signature(s).
Sheltering of Remains, Without Refrigeration (Per Day)
This $20.00 charge is a daily fee for sheltering remains on a long term basis when remains are embalmed and do not require refrigeration. Three days of sheltering are included in our basic service charge.
Fee for Services of Funeral Director (Per Hour)
This $75.00 charge is by the hour for services of a funeral director in situations not covered above, such as assisting with disinterment or other duties with do required the presence of a funeral director.
Fee for Use of Non-Licensed Staff (Per Hour)
This $45.00 charge is by the hour for services of non-licensed staff for situations not covered above.
Use of Limousine
Prices are determined from livery company at time of need. This is a cash advance item, as the Limousines are provided by a Limousine Company, and are not owned by Watson Funeral Home.
Use of Facilities and Staff for a Funeral Ceremony
This $575.00 charge is admitted for the use of Facilities and Staff for a Funeral Ceremony at the Funeral Home or Church.
Use of Facilities and Staff for a Memorial Service
This $575.00 charge is admitted for the use of Facilities and Staff for a Memorial Service at the Funeral Home
Use of Facilities and Staff for a Funeral Ceremony
This $325.00 charge is admitted for the use of Equipment and Staff for a Graveside Service.
Saturday / Sunday "Weekend" Fee
This $150.00 charge only applies if the funeral is held on a weekend. The fee is applied directly to paying overtime expenses for our ancillary staff.
