David R. Lathbury, 56 passed gently from this life surrounded by his loving family at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital after a long battle with a prolonged illness. He married his sweetheart Paula, on February 3, 1978. He loved to go camping, hunting and boating, but his favorite time were with his beloved grandchildren.

 

He is preceded by his mother, Joyce Bailey Lathbury; and a brother: John Lathbury 

 

He is survived by his wife, Paula Viehman Lathbury, and his father, John Lathbury. In addition, his beloved daughter: Tracey Cannon(Emery) of Georgetown and son, Jamey Lathbury of Ellendale. He has four surviving siblings: Carol Givens (Gary) of Millsboro; Belinda Pusey (James) of Laurel; James Lathbury of Ellendale; and Michael Lathbury of Dagsboro. His beloved grandchildren are: Alexis; Morgan; Makenzie; Trevor; and Makayla. In addition, he leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and extended family members and many friends.

 

A viewing and visitation will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2017 from 4:00pm till 6:00pm with remarks at 5:30 is planned. The viewing will be held at Watson Funeral Home, in Millsboro. Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St, New York, NY  10016 or the Lupus Foundation of America Inc., 2121 K. Street NW, Suite 200, Washington, DC  20037-1830.
