Obituary of Ondera Jerome Johnson, Jr.

Ondera Jerome Johnson Jr. was born on September 12, 1984 to Mrs. Tammy Maddox and Mr. Ondera Johnson Sr. He peacefully entered into eternal rest on March 28, 2017, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Delaware. 

 Ondera obtained his education at North Penn High in Lansdale, PA. Ondera had worked several professions throughout the course of his life, mostly at numerous poultry plants. He was working at Allen’s Poultry Plant in Harbeson, De until he became ill.

Ondera had a love for all kinds of music; but he especially loved Rap music and it gave him great pleasure to express himself in what was freestyle.  “Spitting those lyrics off the top of his head.” Ondera also known as “OJ’ to all that knew him, enjoyed spending time with his children and family. This always made him smile and full of laughter.

“OJ” is preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Albert Hagans Sr., a paternal great grandmother Agnes Duncan; a paternal grand-father, Alonzo Miles.

He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his Mother, Mrs. Tammy Maddox (George) of Lansdale, Pa.; his father Ondera Johnson Sr. (Ellen) of New Castle, DE ; one daughter, Ijanae Johnson of Berlin, MD,; two sons, Jaevyon Johnson and Jahzion Johnson of Berlin, MD; two brothers, Martez Johnson (friend Ashley) of Lansdale, PA; Ondera J Johnson Jr II of New Castle, DE; and two sisters, Tiara Mayfield (friend Hakeem) of Lansdale, Pa and Adera Johnson of New Castle, DE; two step-sisters, Chimere Maddox and Chanelle Maddox of Arlington, VA; paternal grandmother Alona Collins (Thomas) of Crisfield, MD ; maternal grandparents, Albert Hagans Jr. (Margaret) of Frankford, DE and maternal great grandmother Margie M. Hagans of Selbyville, De; and one niece, Ava Johnson and one nephew, Carter Johnson both of Lansdale, Pa; his other mother, Alberta Wolford, of Seaford, DE; a very special friend Ericka Oney; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A funeral service and Celebration of His LIfe will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 12:00 noon, St. John 2nd Baptist Church, Millsboro, Delaware. Pastor Sylvester Briddell will be the officiant. Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM, at St. John 2nd Baptist, for viewing and visitation. Final disposition will be private.
