Messick, Jacob W. "Bud"

Jacob W. "Bud" Messick, 66, of Dagsboro, Delaware passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford, Delaware. He was born on September 3, 1943 in Georgetown, Delaware to the late Carroll and Alice Willey Messick.

Mr. Messick worked for Coastal Supply for 29 years. Bud was a hard working man dedicated to his family and friends; he was a "home boy" that liked to watch TV and was a very good cook.

Bud is survived by his wife of 43 years Brenda Lathbury Messick, his sister Aline of Virginia, many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, friends, and his close special friends, Joe & Jamie Kollock, Mark Phillips, Robert Carter, Chuck Reynolds, and his feline friend "Britches".

He was preceded in death by a sister Darthis in addition to his parents.

Services will be 11 AM, Thursday, June 24th at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S Washington Street, Millsboro, Delaware where friends may call at 10 AM. Pastor Rob Welch of Blackwater Fellowship Church will officiate the service. Interment will follow at the Millsboro Cemetery.
