Moore, Doris Parker

Doris Parker Moore, age 83, of Laurel, Delaware passed away on July 5, 2010 at Christiana Care, Newark Delaware. Doris is preceded in death by her father Clarence J. & Elva West Parker, 2 sons, Larry and Joseph Jr., 2 brothers Jim and Joe Parker, and a sister Betty Hedstrom. Doris has been a Licensed Practical Nurse and was employed by Dr. Penserga. "She came from a very large family and seemed to be related to half of everybody in Sussex County". She was a painter, loved flowers and birds. She was very close to her brothers and sisters. She was the Matriarch of the Family and took care of all the children. Doris is survived by her husband of 63 years, Joseph C. Moore, son Steven Joseph Moore and wife Donna of Bar Harbor, Maine, daughter, Sandra Taylor and husband Bobby of Laurel, De. Her brothers and sisters: Donald Parker and wife Evie of Georgetown, De., Jerry Parker and wife Peggy of Georgetown, De, Ralph Parker and companion Dorothy of Georgetown, De., Dale Parker of Blades, De., Richard Parker and wife Donna of Laurel, De., Janet Ware and husband Melvin of Georgetown, De., Pat Harris and Husband Mike of Seaford, De., 6 grandchildren: David Lank, Shane Taylor, Stacey Pousson, Stefaney Holland, Eve Moore and Jeff Moore, 3 great grandchildren, Taylor Lank, Gabrielle Lank, and Jessica Moore. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family also survive Doris. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 9, 2010 at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St. Millsboro, Delaware at 11:00 AM, friends may call 1 hour prior. Interment will be in Millsboro Cemetery Millsboro, Delaware.
