Edward E. "Eddie" Summerville, Jr., 50, of near Millsboro, Delaware passed away on Friday, July 9, 2010 at the Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Delaware. He was born on August 11, 1959 in Washington, DC to the late Edward E. Summerville, Sr. and Joyce Ann Brunk Edlen of Millsboro who survives him.
Mr. Summerville was a U.S. Army Veteran and an Eagle Scout. Eddie was a member of the Midway Baptist Church, Lewes, Delaware. He was very sensitive and devoted to his daughters and grandson; he was always coming up with beautiful and pleasant surprises for his mom. His hobbies were computers and bowling and when he knew someone needed help he was there.
In addition to his mother he is survived by two daughters, Barbara Jean Lane and her husband Timothy Joe of Spokane, WA and Lindsay Anne Summerville of San Antonio, TX, grandson Ian Malone Lane, special friends, Christopher and Susan Armontrout, and numerous extended family
members and friends across the country and his co-workers.
A service will be 11 AM, Wednesday, July 14th at the Midway Baptist Church, 21265 John J. Williams Hwy, Lewes, Delaware where friends may call one hour prior. Pastor Gary J. Hayden will officiate the service. Interment with honors will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Patriots Way, Millsboro, Delaware.
In Lieu of Flowers the family asks for donations in memory of Eddie to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
