Bart & family - My wife and I want to express our heartfelt condolences to you and family during this difficult time. The lost of a father is tough, but he devoted his energy and time to you. You have a hole left behind in your heart that will remind you of him and the GREAT memories you had together. May GOD meet you and your family's needs. GOD speed & GOD bless! John H. Parker jr
To Chief Barnett's wife, family, and friends. Please accept my deepest sympathy on the passing of your beloved one, and public servant. There is no doubt the hole he has left with loved ones here will not be filled easily nor quickly. Like Barney, i was born in Pa. (Lancaster County). I too bagan my police academy training, graduated and served for 34 yrs. before i retired in 2014 and moving to Millsboro. I, unfortunately never had the privilege to meet Barney. However we did serve in one brotherhood/sisterhood The Thin Blu Line. Where rank doesn't matter, just serving others and willing to make that ultimate sacrifice for each other and our communities. Because we want everyone to be safe and free and to hopefully make a difference even if it is just one persons life we can impact in any way for their good. Thank you for unselfishly sharing Barney with his communities, fellow officers and sacrificing much over the yrs. as Barney wore his uniform proudly. My blue brother will be missed. I wish for all to find comfort in all of the special memories you hold dear in your hearts. Strength for the days, months and years ahead. The memory of Barney's warm smile as you think of him. And all of the blessings given by God unto you.Rest easy Chief. May angels carry you and God give you peace and eternal rest in heaven. "Blessed are the Peacekeepers for they shall be called the Children of God". God's Speed. Police Officer Dianne Murray (ret.)Comm. of PA. Badge 153
