We met Harry around 2007. We were about to settle on the piece of property on Shortly Rd where Harry Dale & Kim currently live. I was antsy, and was cutting limbs the day before settlement, and Harry snuck up on us and appeared. We were scared that it was the owner, and we were in trouble. We got to talkin' and became friends. The next time we saw him, Carol was with him and we started going out to dinner together. Over the next year, Harry went out of his way, helping us as we cleared the lot. He helped us when we needed a plumber, found us a motor when the well pump went, found us fill dirt, brought his tracker down, and line us up with Pete who took the Pine logs....he was just incredible. And a jokester he was! He would sneak up on us at the lot and scare the crap out of us! And he was an expert at pullin' my leg, got me every time! I got to watch a deer being skinned for the first time in his garage, and he would show me his huge Cat Fish that he fed in the pond. Harry knew everyone. I would call him the Mayor of Hardscrabble. Harry was one of a kind, and you'll NEVER find more friendly or giving folks than Harry and Carol Elliott. I will miss you, old friend, and cherish my memories of you forever.
