Ray was one of the best guys you ever wanted to know. He worked for me for seven years as a laborer and gained a lot of knowledge and knew more than he let on. He wasn't afraid of hard work. My company name was New Look Renovations. As time went on he became a very close and trusted friend. He became the brother I wished I'd always had. We talked about everything, business, politics, military, our family members, and getting older. After closing my business we stayed in touch, either by phone or I would stop by his house just to visit and catch up. He took good care of his mother till she went to be with the Lord. I tried calling him in August and September to no avail. Now I know why. I was very sorry to hear of your passing and that I could not attend your memorial. If I had known I would have been there Ray. I know you are talking to Saint Peter about baseball. Maybe I can join your team one day.
Ps. We always joked about who was better looking!
Your "good looking" friend,
Rich Osiolek
Ray and I stood watch together on the USCGC McCulloch. For the last few years we kept in touch on the phone a couple of times a month. I was sad when I discovered your passing Ray. The good thing is, I'll see you again some day. Until then, I will miss talking over ole times with you. Paul Milliken
I served with Ray in the US Coast Guard aboard the Coast Guard cutter McCulloch in Wilmington, NC. Ray was a good man as I remember. We shared good times as ship mates. Glad to hear that Ray is now with the Lord Jesus and that makes him more alive now than he ever has been. You will be missed Ray. Rev. Dr. Thom Slaughter
