Obituary for Mr. Albert Hagans, Jr.
Albert Lee Hagans Jr. was born on November 10, 1947 in Middlesex, North Carolina, to the late Albert Hagans Sr., and Margie M. Hagans. With his wife by his bedside, he peacefully entered into eternal rest on April 12, 2017, at his home in Frankford, Delaware.
Albert, also known as “Al” or “Daddy H”, obtained his education at William C. Jason High School in Georgetown, DE. “Daddy H” had worked several professions throughout the course of his life, but construction was what he knew best. He drove truck for Jarmon’s construction, Jim Swan’s construction and Mountaire in Selbyville, DE. “Daddy H” had a passion for riding bikes (motorcycles). This passion led him to join one of the local bike clubs known as the Black Knights. “Daddy H” was one of the first original eighteen club members. One of “Daddy H’s” favorite past times was going out on his boat and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father, Albert Hagans Sr., his brother Richard Hagans, and a grandson Ondera “OJ” Johnson Jr.; and one nephew, Sylvester A. Briddell Jr.; one great nephew, Elijah L. Foreman Jr., and one great niece Moniah Briddell.
He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife, Margaret Hagans; mother, Margie M. Hagans of Selbyville, DE; four daughters, Alberta Wolford (Dwayne) of Seaford, DE., Tammy Maddox (George) of Lansdale, PA., Ashley Taylor (friend-Branden) of Frankford, DE and Angelica Locklear (Justin) of Holly Ridge, North Carolina; two sons, Albert Hagans III of Millsboro, DE and Timothy Hagans (Sonya) of Camden-Wyoming, DE; four brothers, Moses Hagans of Selbyville, Robbie Hagans (Vanessa) of Georgetown, De , Donnie Hagans of Selbyville, DE, Jackie Hagans (Lisa) of Selbyville, DE; and two sisters, Marjorie James (Leonard) of Selbyville, DE, Ruby Briddell (Sylvester) of Selbyville, DE; seven grandchildren, Alana, DaShanna, Martez, Tiara, Timothy Jr., Kamyle, and Alise. ten great-grandchildren, Jamiriah, Anala, Zariyah, Adrian, Julian Ijanae, Jaevyon, Jahzion, Ava, and Carter; his favorite sister-in-law, Elizabeth Smith, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family and friends may call for viewing and visitation from on Saturday, April 22, 2017 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 13325 North Worcester Highway, Bishopville, MD. The Celebration of Life service will begin at 1:00 pm. Interment immediately following at the Zoar Golden Acres Cemetery, Bishopville, MD. Pastor Sylvester Briddell will officiate.
