Obituary of Charles L. Clark, Jr.
Charles L. Clark, Jr., of Laurel, DE passed away in the care of Atlantic General Hospital on June 25, 2018. He was 70 years old. He was born on October 9, 1947 to the late Charles L. Clark, Sr. and Sylvia Johnson Clark. As a child, he loved science. Charlie was a renowned respiratory therapist at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, known for touching many lives and mentoring many students and co-respiratory therapists. Among his other achievements, Charlie was recognized by the City of Salisbury in 2014 for 43 years of dedicated service and for having unselfishly saved many lives. He always worked on holidays so the others could be with their families. Many will remember him as a quiet man. Charlie enjoyed farming – which was his passion – he always had a garden, which always got bigger and bigger. From the bounty of this, he made a great sweet potato pie!
He is survived by four sisters: Carole Clark; Millicent White; Regina Clark-Curry; and Lisa Clark. He is also survived by his nephews: Lamont Clark; Vernon White; Jeffrey White; Seneca Curry; and Julian Curry. In addition: his great-nephews: Charlie Clark and Cristian Cotta. He has one niece: Angela Cotta; and one great niece: Emma Clark. He leaves behind extended family members, and a very great number of friends, and patients he served.
His memorial services and funeral arrangements are private.
