Mr. Gary Atwood Fowler of Millsboro, DE passed away in the care of his family and Delaware Hospice on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. He was 67 years old.
Mr. Fowler was born on January 12, 1952 in Baltimore, MD to the late William and Denise Seville Fowler. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Wright and a son Todd Moreland.
Gary was a retired cement finisher. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Gary was an amazing man who was quiet, but strong spirited, never knew a stranger and he was willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed his home and family very much.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Arlene Fowler of Millsboro, DE; two children, Aaron Moreland of Millsboro, DE and Scott Moreland and his wife Lorie of Dothan, AL; a sister, Francine Willhide and husband Larry of Jacksonville, FL; a nephew Brien Willhide and his wife Linh and great nephew Erik Willhide of Jacksonville, FL. Gary is also survived by sisters-in-law and brothers- in law, Carolyn and Howard DuVal, Christine and Albert Potts and Elizabeth and Roy Dailey. He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Amanda, Christie, Bradley, Todd Jr., Kayla and Sarah, as well as nine great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 13, 2019 at Crossroads Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, DE 19947, where friends may call from 10 AM to 11 AM for viewing and visitation.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Millsboro, DE.
