Helen J Domozych

January 14, 1941 ~ May 2, 2019 (age 78)

Obituary

Helen passed away peacefully and returned to her Lord on May 2, 2019 after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.

Helen is survived by her beloved husband of 10 years, Anthony Domozych.   They shared a rich, busy life in Millsboro Delaware where they enjoyed serving the church and community and enjoyed life to the fullest with their many cherished friends and neighbors.

Helen is also survived by her three children, Cindi Eason of Portland, Maine, Tammy Eason Vanderjeugdt of Huntersville, North Carolina and Myles Eason of Newbury, Massachusetts.  Helen’s children were her greatest source of pride and love.   She instilled in each of them the love of music, dancing, humor, laughter and the importance of family.   Their bond remains unbroken and they will miss her always.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Sarah, David, Cortland, Connor & Myles and great-grandson Bayne

Helen also leaves behind her sister, Shirley Vassallo and brothers Jim Winchester, Dick Winchester and Bob Sagawinia along with a large extended family of wonderful stepchildren, their children and many cousins, nieces and nephews—all of whom she loved dearly.

Helen was born and raised in Gloucester, MA and spent much of her life there with her family, classmates and dear, lifelong friends.  But her last 10 years were spent in Millsboro where she volunteered and served joyously at Grace Methodist Church.   Her generosity with her time and resources in the church and community were limitless.   Helen was happiest singing in the choir and serving in the soup kitchen where her infectious sense of humor and homemade pies were legendary.   Her neighbors all tell wonderful stories of being warmly welcomed to the neighborhood by Helen.   Her bright light will be deeply missed by all.

A Memorial Service to honor Helen's life will be Saturday, May 11, at 1 PM at Grace United Methodist Church, 300 East Church St., Millsboro, DE, with visitation  from 12 Noon to 1 PM.

In memory of Helen, please do not send flowers.  Instead she would love a donation to the American Cancer Society to help cure this brutal disease or to the Grace Methodist Church in Millsboro, DE to help continue the work she loved so much.
