Linwood Nocks

August 4, 1947 ~ July 21, 2018 (age 70)

Mr. Linwood O. Nocks, Sr. of Millsboro, DE passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018.  He was 70 years old.



Mr. Nocks was born on August 4, 1947 to the late George L. Nock and Mary E. Dennis Nock.  He was educated in the Public School Millsboro 204 then on to Jason High School.  He worked at the poultry plant.  He was best known as the chosen one.  Also he was the neighborhood watch everywhere he lived.  A true die hard Redskins Fan and loved his sports.  You could not get a word in when the games were on.  He loved his family and loved telling the family what to do.  He attended St. John 2nd Baptist Church until he got sick.


In addition to his parents he is preceded in death   by a son, Quincy Nocks, a three brothers George Nock and Galway Nock,  Kenneth Nock, Sr., and four sisters, Pandora Nock, Rebecca Nock Hopkins, Diane Moore and Sheila Hooper.


He leaves to cherish loving memories eight children:  Bunita Conquest of Laurel; DE; Conswella Ayers of Rehoboth Beach, DE;  Patricia Ayers of Selbyville, DE; Linwood Nocks, Jr. of Frankford, DE; Quentin Nocks of Frankford, DE; Brandy Nocks of Selbyville, DE; Aubrey Jernigan Sr. of Seaford, DE;  Veneer Jernigan of Fruitland, MD; eighteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.  His siblings he leaves to cherish are  Yolanda Nock (Jessie) of Bridgeville, DE; Valentino Nock(Annette) of Georgetown, DE; Rodney Nock (Mae) of Millsboro, DE; Valasteen Hooper  of Millsboro, DE; Leroy Hooper Nock of Millsboro, DE; Catherine  Nock Hooper, Gladys Hooper Buck and Grace Hooper all  of Alexandria, VA.  He also is survived by one special friend he kept in his life, Anna Jernigan as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


A viewing will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE  19966.  The funeral will take place on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. John St. Baptist Church, 26602 Mt. Joy Rd., Millsboro, DE  19966.  Burial will be private.
