Mrs. Wanda Lee Fisher of Georgetown, DE passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. She was 81 years old.
Mrs. Fisher was born on July 18, 1937 in Whaleyville, MD to the late Frank T. and Myrtle S. Collins West. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by a sister, Beverly Pusey and a brother Thomas West.
Wanda worked in her later years as a cashier at Dollar General but what she enjoyed most of all was taking care of her family including her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the Oak Orchard Community Church. Wanda enjoyed watching her soap operas, talking on the phone and cooking. She was very family oriented and her life revolved around them.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Edward L. Fisher of Georgetown, DE; four children, Bryan E. Fisher of Ellendale, DE; Frank L. Fisher and his wife Ranae` of Ocean View, DE; Sheila A. Rohlfing and her husband Gene of Georgetown, DE and Bruce A. Fisher of Ellendale, DE. She is also survived by a nephew whom she raised as her own, Danny Fisher of Millville, NJ as well as twelve grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren, extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 7, 2018 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM for viewing and visitation. Burial will follow at Carey’s Cemetery in Millsboro.
