Darol L Anderson, 89, of Georgetown, passed away on Sunday, June 16 at home with family at his side.
Darol was born November 3, 1929 in LaCrosse Wisconsin to John and Avis Anderson of Houston, MN. He graduated from Houston High School in 1946. He was a Staff Sergeant in US Air Force serving 6 years. He married Donna Jauken on February 19, 1956. He had a career with USDA working most of that time at Townsend’s in Millsboro and retired after 33 years.
Darol was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His priority and happiness in life was to see his family happy and cared for. He loved visiting and especially hosting relatives. He liked music, bowling, fishing, and reading.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Donna, his son David, Sister Betty Ask, and Sister Donna Shroeder
He is survived by his son Danny and wife Sheila of Frankford; granddaughter Allison and companion Matt of Millsboro; grandson Brooks and wife Kate of Wilmington NC; and daughter in law Mary of Millsboro; and many nieces and nephews.
A Chapel service will be held June 21, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the Delaware Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way Millsboro, DE. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
