Obituary of Mr. Donald Eugene Radcliffe, II
Mr. Donald Eugene Radcliffe, II passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Beebe Health Care in Lewes, DE. He was 65 years old.
Don was born in Ephrata, PA to the late Donald Eugene Radcliffe, I and Marianne Kachel Radcliffe Worley. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his stepfather Walter Worley.
He was employed by Beebe Health Care for the last forty years and was looking forward to his retirement on July 2 of this year. He started out in the psychiatric ward and over the years he moved around from department to department wherever he was needed. He was a foster parent providing training to other potential foster parents when he met his wife, Karen Stutzbach. They married in 1997 and together raised five children plus cared for about 50 foster children. He started Cub Scout Pack 105 in Long Neck and volunteered at Station 91 Mid Sussex for several years. He was a member of Renovate Church in Delmar, DE.
Don is survived by his wife of 24 years Karen Radcliffe of Millsboro, DE, five children Christopher Radcliffe of Rehoboth, DE; Daniel Radcliffe (Abby) of Townsend, DE; Bethany Radcliffe (Bryan Edwards) of Lewes, DE; Bahiya Radcliffe of Seaford, DE and Andrew Radcliffe of Millsboro, DE. He also has one sister Sharon Carey of Davenport, FL along with four brothers David Radcliffe (Annette) of Camden, DE, Thomas Radcliffe (Jean), of Ephrata, PA, Timothy Radcliffe (Robyn) of Camden, DE and Keith Worley of Milton, DE. Don also leaves behind seven grandchildren Tylar Saltar, Kalel, Kiera, Jeremiah, Elaine, Josiah Radcliffe and Ayden Edwards Don is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and former foster children whose lives he touched throughout the years.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 25, 2021, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for viewing and visitation. Interment will follow at McColley’s Chapel Cemetery, 18168 Redden Rd, Georgetown, DE 19947. Services will be officiated by Pastor Marilyn Searcey of Renovate Church in Delmar, DE.
