Glenn D Hazel

July 2, 1956 ~ February 25, 2020 (age 63)


  Glenn D. Hazel, 63, of Millsboro, DE and Parkesburg, PA passed away on Tuesday        February 25, 2020.  Mr. Hazel was born, July 2, 1956, at Taylor Hospital in Ridley Park, PA to the late Robert E. and Phyllis Wilson Hazel.  Glenn attended schools in both Pennsylvania and Delaware, including Cape Henlopen High School.  He was a retired house painter, working in both Pennsylvania and Delaware.  He loved music and was an awesome harmonica player, playing with numerous bands.  Glenn also enjoyed many hobbies including hunting, boating, fishing, crabbing and many years ago riding his Harley.  He had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh.  Glenn was devoted to his companion Joyce.  

Glenn is survived by his companion of 34 years, Joyce Wise of Millsboro, DE and Parkesburg, PA, one brother, Robert J. Hazel Sr. and his wife Mary Lou of Rehoboth Beach, DE; three step-sons, Curt Wise and his wife Dee of Parkesburg, PA., Kevin Wise and his wife Kimberly of Millsboro, DE and Craig Wise and his companion Kelly Phillips of Bear, DE.  He also leaves behind two nephews, Robert Hazel Jr. of Rehoboth Beach and Josiah Hazel of Wilmington, eight step~grandchildren, Danny, Kirsten, Aaron, Heather, Jonathon, Ashlyn, Logan and Riley, ten step-great grandchildren as well as two great nephews Robert Hazel III and Grady Hazel, along with many other step nieces and nephews who loved him.  Glenn also had two kitties, Stinky and Missy, whom he greatly adored.  

He was loved by many and will certainly be missed by all who knew him.  A “Special Thanks” to both Fresenius Dialysis Center in Millsboro and to Beebe Hospital for their excellent care over the last few years.  

Services and interment will be private.
