With heavy hearts we share that Jeannette Leigh Poole, 58, of Millsboro passed away as result of an automobile accident on November 10, 2020.
Daughter of Janet Pinkowski and the late Wayne Poole, who were blessed with her birth on September 29, 1962 in Chester, PA. Jeannette was graduate of Delaware Technical and Community College class of ’98, attended Beth El Tabernacle Church in Clarksville, DE and Dagsboro Church of God. She worked at Pizza Palace for many years. She was always known as a hard worker, something she instilled in her son. Her hobbies were gardening and collecting antiques. She was a hard-working Mom who was very proud of her clean house and always having a spotless home for her friends and family to come visit. She loved people, was fun and bubbly – a very energetic person — and she loved her dogs “Precious” and “Bernie.” Her gift for those who were graced to know her was how deeply she cared for those in her life and her unselfish way of doing anything to help them out, regardless of circumstances. She brought us love, happiness, joy and the gift of her contagious laugh. She was a mother to many, always willing to be anyone’s “second mom” who was in need. She is deeply loved and deeply missed.
She is survived by her companion of 36 years, Preston Vickers, and her son: Justin Vickers and his fiancée Catelyn Sofio, of Phoenixville, PA. She is also survived by two parents: mother and step-father, Janet and Stephen Pinkowski of Myrtle Beach, SC as well as five sisters: Judy Pickering (Ken) of Millsboro, DE; Joanne Duke (Dwayne) of Society Hill, SC; Janeen Bodur (Umit) of Pocomoke, MD; Nicole Poole and companion Nick Bonaduci, of Trainer, PA; and Michelle Brady (Scott) of Glenolden, PA. There are three brothers: Jeffrey Poole, of Boothwyn, PA; Jimmy Poole, of Wilmington, DE; and Wayne Poole, of Florida. She also leaves behind her best friend, Bonnie – her all-time favorite girl, her two dogs, her grand-dog, “Emma,” and many nieces and nephews who loved her very much.
A time of visitation will be held at Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966 on Tuesday, November 17, from 4:00 PM until 5:00 PM. A funeral service and celebration of her life will follow at 5:00 PM with Pastor Dennis Millner officiating. Due to Coronavirus restrictions masks and social distancing will be required.
Interment will be private.
