SARAH ENGLISH's Obituary
Sarah English of Laurel, DE, formerly of Millsboro, DE passed away on May 27, 2012 in the loving care of her daughter, Carla Willey. She was born January 4, 1917 in Patten, Maine to the late Carl E. and Gertrude Lillian Gould Twitchell. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Preston English in 2007 and a daughter Judith Ann Reed in 1981. She worked in the Todd Beth Shipyard as a welder during WWII. She met her husband in Portland Maine and then moved to Delaware where he was from. She is survived by 2 daughters, Carla Willey and her friend Tommy Lane, Martha Stevenson and her friend B.J.; 3 sons, Kenneth Vigue and wife Charlene, Robert English and wife Sandra, and John R. English and wife Bonnie; brother, Elmer Twitchell; sister, Jean Willette and her husband Clarence; grandsons; John P. Bounds, and Robert F. Eye, Jr. whom she helped raise. She has many grandchildren and great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She also leaves behind her constant companion, her dog Jitter Bug. A chapel service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro, DE 19966. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, De 19963.
