Barbara and Fred were great neighbors in Coram from 1968 to 1973. Fred was especially helpful during the gas crisis. We remember all the fun neighborhood parties on Haverford Lane — especially the one at Barbara and Fred’s ( on June 13, 1970) the day before our second son was born!

I consider Fred a close friend. I met him many years ago, while we were both members of Southold Town Kiwanis. We seemed to hit it off well right from the first time we met. He was a great guy and fun to be with. We shared some things in common and enjoyed each other's company. I was impressed with his work ethic and I admired the business he and his father had worked so hard to build up over the many years he was in business. He was devoted to his family.
