Alonzo Junior Drummond, born May 29, 1959, in Accomack, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, in Dover, Delaware, at the age of 65. He was the beloved son of the late Alonzo and Minnie Romance (Toppin) Drummond.
Alonzo was a man who found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a lifelong passion for working on cars and could often be found under a hood, turning wrenches with skill and satisfaction. He also found strength and community in his faith, regularly attending church services in Dover.
He is preceded in death by his loving parents. Alonzo leaves behind a legacy of love and family, survived by his children, Amour Romance Maize, Alonzo Drummond, Jr., and Treyvon Hooper; his cherished grandchildren, Zalayia James, Alona Timmons, Noah Payne, Morningstar-Amour Maize, and Turquoise-Raine Maize. He is also survived by his sisters, Orlando Jones, Cheryl Drummond, Brenda Briddell, and Chokolate Toppin; his brothers, George Drummond, Jesse Drummond, and Alvin Drummond; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him deeply.
Alonzo's life will be honored in a private service. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
