Obituary of Mr. Andre R. Johnson, Sr.
Mr. Andre R. Johnson, Sr. of Delmar, DE passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2021, at the Delaware Hospice Center. He was 58 years old.
Andre was born in Seaford, DE on June 5, 1963, to the late Levin and Lillie Knight Johnson.
He was a poultry farmer and worked for Jehovah Jireh Farms of Frankford, DE for 4 years before retiring due to his illness.
He was a member of Spirit of Excellence Ministry of Deliverance in Dagsboro, DE. Andre always had a smile to share and had a great sense of humor. He was known to be a true ladies' man who liked to dress to impress. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, racing cars, cooking, and even singing even though he could not carry a tune. He was a family man who will be missed by all who knew him.
Andre is survived by six children, Altoria Turnage of Millsboro, DE; Ashley Dixon of Laurel, DE; Andre Johnson, Jr. of Selbyville, DE; Rashawn Johnson (Janelle) of Frankford, DE; Andrea Chandler of Millsboro, DE; Angel Miller of Rhode Island and one stepson Jawan Chandler of Selbyville, DE. He also has four siblings surviving; Gwendolyn Drummond of Frankford, DE;Gail Thornton of Baltimore, MD; Antonio Johnson (Debbie) of Georgetown, DE and Nikitia Farlow (Annette) of Seaford, DE. He also leaves behind twelve grandchildren: Miracle, Andre, A'Riyah, Beautifull Onyae, Andre, III, Jaela, Raegan, Jory, Jayon, Donyae, Jyzhel, and Delilah as well as two great grandchildren. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 10, 2021, at Calvary Pentecostal Church, 13325 Worcester Hwy, Bishopville, MD 21813, where friends may call from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM for viewing and visitation. Interment will follow at Zoar Golden Acres in Bishopville, MD.
