Angel Rae Lathbury, 46, of Millsboro, Delaware, passed away on December 15, 2024, at Christiana Hospital surrounded by her loved ones. Born on September 25, 1978, in Lewes, DE, Angel was the beloved daughter of Stephen and Patricia Murray.
Angel dedicated her life to her family, friends and people in need. She worked as a medical assistant, a role that perfectly complemented her compassionate and selfless nature. Family was everything to Angel, and she was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, and fiancée. She was the person who always made sure everyone was taken care of, embodying love and kindness in all she did. Angel loved the simple joys of life, whether enjoying a warm cup of coffee with Coffee maté, indulging in ice cream, or watching Lifetime movies. She was a passionate fan of the Baltimore Ravens and cherished animals as much as she did people.
Angel leaves behind her fiancé, William Darkow, Jr.; her children, Robert Lathbury, III (Mia) and Branden Lathbury(Kayla); and her cherished grandchildren, Brook Aurora Lathbury and Amelia Angel Lathbury. She is also survived by her parents, Stephen and Patricia Murray; her brothers, Steven Murray (Diane) and Douglas Murray, Sr.; her sisters, Kristen Murray (Austin Lewis) and Kelsey Murray; her bonus mom, Mary Beth; her mother-in-law, Teresa Tracy; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium in Millsboro, DE with a viewing from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. prior to the start of the service. Casual attire is encouraged. Interment will immediately follow at Carey’s Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
Angel will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family, friends and all who were blessed to have known her.
