ANNA HOWARD's Obituary
Mrs. Anna Howard of Gumboro, DE passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015. She was 84 years old. Mrs. Howard was born on May 18, 1930 in Baltimore, MD to the late Jack and Alice M. Gebhart Chaney. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, Norwood D. Howard, Sr. in 1996, a sister, Madelyn Fowler and a niece, Dorothy Fowler. She worked for the State of Delaware as a Social Services Clerk for 23 years. Her hobby was her work. She was devoted to her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She attended Bayshore Community Church. Anna was a member of the American Legion Post 24, Dagsboro, DE. She loved to dance and crochet. She lived a simple life. She is survived by three children, Theresa Bergman and her husband Larry of Dagsboro, DE; Norwood David Howard, Jr. of Gumboro, DE; Irene Coverdale and her companion Robert Sellers of Hurlock, MD, a niece, Georgia Beckett and her husband Johnny of Pasadena, MD along with four grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 6 -8 PM on Thursday, February 12, 2015 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966. The funeral will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, February 13, 2015 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 6827 East New Market Ellwood RD, Hurlock, MD 21643.
