ANTHONY ""TONY"" JOSEPH PIECHNIK, SR's Obituary
Anthony (Tony) Joseph Piechnik, Sr. passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on January 20, 2015 in his beloved slower-lower Delaware town of Millsboro. Tony was born in Canonsburg, PA on April 25, 1938 to Joseph and Victoria Piechnik. A graduate of Canonsburg High School, Tony served in the United State Army before proudly graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a major in Photographic Sciences. His love of photography led him to distinguished years of service at DuPont and Konica. His friendly smile and love of kibitzing made him a friend to all. He enjoyed living in Australia, sailing, music and playing the accordion and trumpet. Tony was very proud of his children and grandchildren's accomplishments. Tony is survived by his wife Armande Bouvier-Piechnik and his sister Violet Olminsky. He is the loving father of A.J., Paul and his wife Christine, John, and Julie and her husband Bill. Tony has 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was loved by his stepchildren Elaine, Marc, Stephen, and Julie. Visitation will be held at Mary Mother of Peace Catholic Church, Millsboro, DE at 11:00 am, followed by Mass at noon on January 26, 2015. Burial will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Sussex County at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
