Barbara Anne Shultie's Obituary
Mrs. Barbara Anne Shultie of Millsboro, DE passed away on Thursday, March 2 at Harrison Senior Living in Georgetown, DE. She was 85 years old.
Barbara was born in Nassau, DE on July 27, 1931 to the late John O. and Elsie Mae Pusey Brittingham. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Donald "Duck" Shultie in 2010, and a brother, Clifton O. Brittingham.
Barbara was a graduate of Millsboro High School. She married Donald in 1949 and she was co-owner of Duck's Service Center and Towing where she worked alongside her husband for over 50 years. She was a member of Carey's United Methodist Church and Delmarva Evangelistic in Salisbury. She was devoted to her family and loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She especially liked attending the sporting events of her grandchildren. Barbara was a devoted Christian woman her whole life.
She is survived by four children Steven and Gail Shultie of Montgomery Village, MD; Philip and Susan Shultie of Georgetown, DE; Jeff and Sherry Shultie of Millsboro, DE and Dona and Barry Dean of Clarksville, DE; a sister, Betty Joines of Sharptown, MD and nine grandchildren, Seth and Megha Shultie, Jason, Brandon and Hannah Shultie, Dustin and Shannon Shultie, Brock and Becca Dean, Josh Tyler and Colby Dean. She is also survived by step grandchildren; Pam Clowser and Eddie Hearn as well as great grandchildren; Addie and Wyatt Dean, Cierra and Sidney Hearn and Brooke Clowser.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 12:00 Noon for viewing and visitation. Burial will follow in Carey's Cemetery in Millsboro, DE.
