BETTY ANN PEACOCK's Obituary
Obituary of Mrs. Betty Ann Peacock Betty Ann Peacock, 75, of Millsboro passed away at home in the loving care of her family on October 21, 2014. She was born in Millsboro to the late Donald E. Sr., and Isabelle Johnson Hitchens on February 18, 1939. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by sisters, Mildred Norwood and Catherine Soil and brother Leroy Hitchens. She was married to the late Frank Peacock Sr. with whom she shared 45 years until his passing in 2004. She had worked as a cannery technician at Draper King Cole, tended a layer farm for Townsends Inc, worked as a production worker for Cargill, and then became a home-maker and a loving babysitter to many of her grand and great grandchildren. She was hard working, and a dedicated woman who loved fishing, gardening and flowers. She was an active member of her church, Friendship United Methodist. She participated in many ministries such as WOW Ministry, Helping Hands, Senior Choir, Celebrate Recovery and Intercessory Prayer. She was humble, soft spoken, and a great listener who was very caring and compassionate. She is survived by four children: Stelene A. Oliver, and husband George; Frank Peacock, Jr., and his wife Deborah; Ivan Peacock, and his wife Jannie; and Julian Peacock, and his wife, Denise. She has three siblings: Jennie Hargett; Corrine Sammons; and Donald E. Hitchens, Jr., a special niece, Vanessa Rickards; along with 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren, along with 22 extended grand and great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A funeral service and Celebration of Her Life is scheduled for Saturday, October 25th at 12:00 noon at the Friendship United Methodist Church, 30983 Friendship Rd., Millsboro, DE where friends may call from 10 AM until the service starts.
