Obituary of Mrs. Betty Lou Wichmann Betty Lou Wichmann, 73, formerly of Park Ridge, NJ and Cincinnati, OH passed away on May 20, 2014 in the comfort of her home in Ocean View, DE. Born of June 6, 1940 in Cincinnati, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Helen Huber. Betty was a retired administrative assistant for the Sony Corp. She loved reading and doing ceramics. She was a Fox News Hound, and ran her own ""news bureau"" referred to lovingly by her friends as BNN (Betty's news network). She was the family worrier - taking it all on so others didn't have to. She was a kind person, devoted to her family. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, William J. Wichmann and her children: Karen Scarangella, and husband Thomas, of Ocean View, DE; William ""Chuck"" Wichmann, and wife Micki, of Owassa, OK; James Wichmann, and his wife Michele, of Washington TWP, NJ; Jeffery Wichmann, and his wife Paula, of Millersville, MD; and Mary Jo Parada, and her husband Dominic, of Morrisville, PA. She is also survived by two sisters: Jacqueline Hutchinson, of Cincinnati, OH; and Nancy Weber, and her husband Stanley, of Linwood, Washington; along with a brother-in-law: Jerry Kline. She leaves a legacy of 13 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and many friends across the country. A time of viewing and visitation will be held at Watson Funeral Home; 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. A funeral service and Celebration of Her Life will be held on Tuesday, May 27 at 12:30 PM. Friends may call one hour prior for visitation. Pastor Chris Hobgood will officiate. Interment follows at 2:00 PM at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Delaware Hospice; 100 Patriot Way; Milford, DE 19963.
