Beverly Jayne Berry's Obituary
Ms. Beverly Jayne Berry of Dagsboro, Bay Colony, DE, and formerly from Bowie, MD, passed away on October 15, 2021. Beverly was 85 years old and was born in Perryopolis, PA on March 19, 1936.
Beverly retired from the National Science Foundation (NSF) and relocated to Fenwick, DE along with her husband. She enjoyed singing in the church choir at the Saints Peters Lutheran Church in Ocean City, MD. She enjoyed spending time at the beach with her friends and family, playing tennis, boating, bowling, traveling, and cooking for her family during the holidays.
Beverly is survived by her sister, Janet McDaniel, and her two daughters, Cynthia Lee Smith from Melbourne, FL. and Margaret Ruth Jayant from Columbia, MD. She is survived by her beloved Great Grandchildren: Marshall Alan Kromer of Easton, MD, Nicholas Styles Kromer of Queenstown, MD, Jennifer Lee Joiner of Auburn, ME, and Brian Matthew Smith of Melbourne FL. Beverly is also survived by her Great Grandchildren, Quin James Kromer, Son of Nicholas S. Kromer and Madison E. Mandes and Finley Mars Joiner, Son of Jennifer and Danny Joiner.
Committal Service and a short memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, May 19th, 2022, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriot's Way; Millsboro, Delaware 19966. Masks and Social Distancing requirements will be enforced in compliance with the Governor 's and Public Health Department's Covid-19 restrictions.
Instead of sending flowers, please plant a tree in her name and/or send donations in her name to the Alzheimer's Association.
