BONITA E BAKER's Obituary
Bonita E. Baker, of Gumboro, departed this life surrounded by the loving care of her family on July 13, 2012 at Beebe Hospital, in Lewes, Delaware. Born on January 8, 1957, in Milford, DE, she is the daughter of Franklin P., Sr., and Jeanette Gordon Hudson, who both survive her. She was a delightful woman who possessed great beauty, not only outer - but inner beauty as well. She was a treasured home maker, very devoted to her family, especially her son and husband. She loved to shop, to decorate, loved antiques and collectibles. She was strong willed and determined, always a great wife, mother and great best friend. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 23 years, and seven months: Rusty Baker, and her beloved son, Matthew. She also leaves a sister: Terry Fleming, of Georgetown; and four brothers: Jerry Hudson, and wife Arlene; Tom Hudson, and wife Carol - all of Millsboro; and Frank Hudson, Jr. of Ocean View; and Richard Hudson, of Greenwood. She also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many, many friends. Lastly, it would be remiss to not mention her beloved feline friends, ""Socks"" and ""Sweety,"" two sweet kitties. A funeral service and Celebration of Her Life will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 1:00 PM at the Gumboro Wesleyan Church in Gumboro, where friends may call two hours prior from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM for visitation and fellowship with the family. Pastor Dave Souder will officiate. Interment follows at the Line Cemetery, Whitesville, DE. Floral tributes are welcomed, or for those preferring a donation to a charity in her honor, the family suggest the National Kidney Foundation of Maryland; 1301 York Rd., Suite 404; Lutherville, MD 21093-6007, to whom the family expresses great gratitude for their help during Bonita's illness.
