BONNIE BETTS BURTON's Obituary
Bonnie Betts Burton of Georgetown, DE passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016. She was 60 years old.
Mrs. Burton was born in Seaford, DE on May 26, 1955 to the late Leonard and Gloria Murphy Betts. Bonnie graduated from Sussex Central High School, Class of 1973. She worked locally in retail sales including Rust Weir Supply, Fay Donoway Shop, Mastens Lumber, and Shore Distributors. She also worked as a secretary at Bay Shore Community Church and Splash Daycare, and also the Food Pantry at Bay Shore Community Church. She was a very caring, loving woman who would do anything for anyone and will be dearly missed.
She is survived by husband of 43 years, Gene R. Burton of Georgetown, DE; two sons, Daniel R.
Burton of Wilmington, DE and Matthew Burton of Georgetown, DE; eight siblings, Ronald
Betts of Harbeson, DE; Donna Owens and her husband Bob of Pocomoke, MD; Wayne Sockriter
and his wife Dina of West Cliff, CO, Deanna Nack and her husband Bill of Bethel, DE; J.T.
Pettyjohn and his wife Melanie of Laurel, DE; Tina Riggins and her husband Burton of Laurel,
DE; Tammy Dein Herder and her husband Alan of Hebron, MD; and Teri Johnson of Seaford,
DE; along with two grandchildren and numerous extended family members and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, May 2, 2016 at Bayshore Community
Church, 36759 Millsboro Hwy, Millsboro, DE 19966.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Bonnie's memory to Bayshore Church
