BRENDA LEE MESSICK's Obituary
Brenda Lee Messick of Dagsboro passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. She was 66 years old. Brenda was born on November 14, 1947 to the late Walter Lathbury and Elsie Lathbury Jerman who survives her. In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her husband Jacob Messick in 2010, and a nephew Greg Morris. She attended Dagsboro Gospel Fellowship Church and also Blackwater Fellowship. She loved spending time with her mother and Thomas. She was devoted to her family and loved spoiling her nieces and nephews. Brenda loved going to church, her cats, shopping at Walmart and eating at Golden Corral. She especially loved going shopping with Sue Hudson. She is survived by her mother, Elsie Lathbury Jerman and her husband Thomas of Dagsboro, a sister, Peggy Morris and husband Wayne of Millsboro; two brothers, Jerry Lathbury and wife Pat of Frankford and David Lathbury and wife Donna of Dagsboro. She is also survived by a nephew, Dean Morris, three nieces, Dawn Coffelt, Stacey Grez and Dana Lathbury, great nieces, Jordan Coffelt Rimmer, Kristan Miller, Harley Heck, Keelie Grez and a great great nephew, Brayden Rimmer. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St. Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Millsboro Cemetery. Pastor James Burton will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Dagsboro Gospel Fellowship, PO Box 7, Dagsboro, DE 19939 or Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
