Bruce Edward Davis, Sr.'s Obituary
Bruce Edward Davis, Sr., of Salisbury, MD, formerly of Seaford, DE, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, just days before his 50th birthday. Born on July 15, 1975, he was the beloved son of Bruce Edward Thompson and Doralene Tull.
Bruce was a kind and gentle soul who lived a quiet and peaceful life. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—classic cars, cooking new recipes, and cheering for his favorite football team, the New York Jets. He had a deep appreciation for good food, good company, and the comfort of familiar things.
To know Bruce was to know someone who was deeply loyal, generous with his heart, and always ready to lend a hand. A sweetheart through and through, he had a warmth about him that made everyone feel at ease. His crew—his close circle of friends—meant everything to him. They were more than friends; they were his brothers.
Bruce loved his family dearly and cherished every moment spent with them. He was a devoted father to Miranda Dobraski, Bruce Edward Davis, Jr., and Sum’ai Maria Davis, and a proud grandfather to Rasuan S. Dale, Jr. (RJ) and Malani Dale.
He is survived by his parents; his children and grandchildren; his siblings: Trina Snowden (Derrick) and Preston Tull of Millsboro, DE, Chandra Snead of Laurel, DE, Kristen Davis of Pennsylvania, Starr Davis of Delmar, MD, Ashley Limehouse (Tony) of Laurel, DE, LaKwan Davis and Latrell Davis of Wilmington, DE; his beloved Aunt Freeda of Lewes, DE; a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and his lifelong friends who were like family: Eddie Seymore and Howard Carter (Dune). Those who knew Bruce will miss his steady presence, gentle laugh, and kind heart. Bruce was preceded in death by his grandparents George and Bertha Thompson, Sherwood Tull and Viola Stevenson, and brother Marcus B. Davis.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. John Second Baptist Church and Cemetery, 26602 Mount Joy Road, Millboro, DE 19966, where friends and family may view beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
