Byron H. Farmer's Obituary
Byron Harrison Farmer, born on July 5, 1958, in New Jersey, passed away on February 21, 2025, in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of the late Calvin Robert Farmer, Sr. and Lorraine Vera (Kirby) Johnson.
Byron graduated from Sussex Central High School. He served as a combat engineer in the Army in 1977 at Fort Wood in Missouri. He went on to build a career as a dedicated mason. He was an excellent mason and he took pride in the work he did for family and customers. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing with his brothers more than anything. It was his way of finding peace in his life and the World.
He is survived by his son, Byron Harrison Farmer, II (wife, Wendy), two beautiful grandsons, Preston and Roman; his siblings, Mary Johnson, Calvin R Farmer, Jr, Debora Mickles, James Farmer (Pam), Mable Harmon, Eric Farmer, Nina Wright (James) and David Farmer (Troy), Step-brother, Dwayne Johnson (Doris); a host of aunts, nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025, at Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium in Millsboro, DE with a viewing from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, prior to the start of the service. Interment will be private.
Byron will be remembered for his hard work, dedication, and the love he shared with those around him.
