C. Ann Mitchell's Obituary
Mrs. C. Ann Mitchell of Millsboro, DE passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehab Health Center. She was 85 years old.
Ann was born in Frankford, DE on July 7, 1934 to the late James Martin and Pauline Long. In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband James Thomas Mitchell, Sr. in 2003, a son, Shane Mitchell in 2010 as well as two brothers, Harley King Long and Francis Martin Long along with two sisters, Agnes Daisey and Maxine Sharp.
She retired from the State of Delaware where she worked at the Stockley Center as a Doctor's Aid for approximately 34 years. Ann enjoyed knitting, crochet and reading. She was a nurturing and caring woman who had a big heart. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew her.
Ann is survived by four children; Paris Mitchell and his wife Donna of Frankford, DE; James T. Mitchell and his wife Ellen of Millsboro, DE; Trudy Cordrey and Joe Dorey of Bishopville, MD and Peter Mitchell and his wife Mona of Millsboro, DE. She is also survived by a brother, Throt Long and his wife Etta of Millsboro, DE and a sister-in -law June Long of Elkton, MD. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory twenty grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great- great grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM on Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966. A graveside will follow at 2:00 PM at Mariner's Bethel Cemetery, 81 Central Ave, Ocean View, and DE 19970.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
