Calvin H. Lewis' Obituary
Mr. Calvin H. Lewis, Age 90, of Millsboro, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012. Calvin was born on August 28, 1922 to the late Daniel H. and Ella C. Mitchell Lewis. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Lewis and second wife Beatrice Lewis, and several siblings. Mr. Lewis retired from Perdue after 19 years of service. He attended Blackwater Fellowship Church later joined the Joshua House Ministries. He loved the great outdoors and especially lived for serving the Lord and living for the Lord. That was his life. Gratitude was particularly and especially expressed by Mr. Lewis for his grandson Barry Chandler and his wife Rita, whom he considered a son, and for the care and love Barry and Rita both shared with him. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, September 13, 2012, at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Friends may also call on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Pastor Chuck Reynolds will officiate. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery, Whaleyville, MD Flowers are welcomed or donations may be made in Mr. Lewis' memory to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
