Carol Ann Cassese's Obituary
Carol Ann Cassese, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home she loved in Millsboro, Delaware on May 25, 2026, with her loving husband by her side. Born in Passaic, New Jersey on November 19, 1941, she was the oldest daughter of the late Peter and Beatrice (Loose) Farrell.
Carol dedicated many years of her life to caring for others as a registered nurse before later serving, for more than 30 years, as a harbor administrator in Atlantic Highlands, New Jersey. She was known for her kind heart, strong work ethic, and devotion to her family. Her friends and family enjoyed her quick wit and dry sense of humor.
In her free time, Carol enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, playing solitaire, needlepoint, crocheting, and traveling to drum and bugle corps concerts and Broadway shows. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, taking care of her home and treasured the time she spent cooking great meals for those she loved most. Carol spent many summers at the beaches in New Jersey and cherished the wonderful long vacations at their beach home in North Carolina.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, John P. Cassese; her children, Dena Wells (Matthew), Darren Cassese (Kimberly Faison), Daria Cassese, Timothy Byrne (Karen), and Kelly Byrne; and her cherished grandchildren, Alexa Wells, Keira Wells, Bella Rose Cassese, Katie Byrne, and Emily Byrne.
Services will be held at a later date.
