CATHERINE R HUDSON's Obituary
Mrs. Catherine Hudson of Georgetown, Delaware, passed away on Friday, January 30, 2015, at Delmar Nursing Home. She was 81 years old. Mrs. Hudson was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on October 22, 1933, to the late Charles L. and Mabel Stooms Reynolds. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Charles S. Reynolds, and beloved canine friend, ""Mickey."" Catherine was a homemaker and seamstress. She could sew just about anything and made many of her own clothes as well as alterations for others. She was bubbly and talkative, with a great sense of humor. Catherine loved to dance, was meticulous about her wardrobe, and enjoyed going out to eat and interior decorating. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, John ""Jack"" Hudson of Georgetown, Delaware; two children: a daughter, Dana Abbott-Painter, and her husband, John, of Georgetown; and a son, Troy Abbott, also of Georgetown; a brother, Linford Reynolds of Hardscrabble, Delaware; along with two grandchildren: Natalie Fowler and Trevor Abbott, as well as extended family members and friends. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church Cemetery, 122 E. Pine St., Georgetown, DE 19947. Rev. Mike Williams will officiate. The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Delmar Nursing Home and Delaware Hospice.
