Obituary of Charles Bowden:
Charles Eugene Bowden, 63, of Frankford passed away in the care of his family and the nurses from Compassionate Care Hospice at his residence on April 1, 2017. He was born on October 4, 1953 in Salisbury, MD to the late Charles L. and Rada B. Donaway Bowden. He was a graduate of Stephen Decatur High School, and retired as a Grain Operator from Mountaire Farms. He was the father of two children and loved camping, fishing, and was an avid Redskins fan. He loved NASCAR. Jimmy Johnson was his favorite race car driver. He is survived by his children: Eric E. Bowden, and companion Shana M. Bowden of Frankford; and Christina Coffin, of Willards. He is also survived by his siblings: Jerry L. Bowden, and wife Shirley, of Stockton, MD; Janet L. Bowden, and companion Diana Jones, of Frankford; and Wanda Mumford, of Frankford. He leaves behind six grandchildren as well as several nieces, cousins and many friends. He also leaves his beloved canine friend, "Hannah." A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 6th, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Carey's Cemetery, in Millsboro, DE. Pastor Donnie Bailey, of Pitts Creek Baptist Church in Pocomoke, MD will officiate.
