May the lord bless this man and welcome him into the gates of heaven. All veterans are family no matterfrom what era, everyone that knew him was blessed to have known him. Rest in Peace
My condolences to Chester's family and friends. His loss was difficult to hear. I was the squadron's Operations Officer and Chester was our senior drug dog handler at RAF Mildenhall, England from 1979 through the early 80s. We worked together during drug busts, VIP protection during our frequent dignitary visits, working long hours during our annual air shows, setting up security prior to and during civilian protests, and dedicating extra long hours training on our Emergency Services Team (Air Force SWAT). There was rarely a day we didn't work together or see each other. Chester always volunteered when any extra help or support was needed, and I never heard him complain. He was certainly a man you could count on, and he lead by example. I'm proud to have served with him. He was certainly an asset to the 513th Security Police Squadron, the Air Force and our national security. May he Rest In Peace!Terry Glymph, Colonel (Retired)USAFR
Butch, I have many memories of you and my brother growing up. Although our marriage didn't work out, I will always have those memories. What you boys didn't get into. My older brother didn't think I knew...
I had the honor and pleasure to serve with Chet while overseas. He was a serious professional and a "hoot" to joke around with. It is no surprise that he was helping those in need to the end. May Chet rest in eternal peace.
Chet was a great man. Was an Honor to serve with him in Germany. Chet, your gonna be missed my friend
Chet and I ran the Law Enforcement flight while assigned to the 435th Security Police Squadron Rhein Main AB. We shared many laughs over that time along with a few tears as well from the deaths we saw while assigned together. He always had a smile which made you wonder what trouble he had just caused. Rest in Peace my Brother and my Friend. Till we meet again.
Chester was a childhood friend. He lived down the street on Polly Branch Road from my grandmother. We use to play cops and robbers and he always played the role of the cop. He died doing what he always wanted to do since childhood. So sad he is gone before we could catch up with each other. His mother would be so proud of him. He is now with her in heaven. I'll see you in heaven one day my old friend.
