CONNIE RAE GARRISON's Obituary
Connie Rae Garrison was born on July 11, 1956 in Lewes, Delaware to the late Kenneth R. Westcott and Yvonne V. Parker. She transitioned from labor to reward on August 15, 2014 at the age of 58. Connie received her education in the Indian River High School District, graduating in 1975. She was a dedicated employee at Mountaire Farms for 4o years, Holiday Chicken for 32 years, and for the USDA as an Inspector during the last seven years. Connie enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She shared her heart for seven years with Thomas ""Tee"" Wyche, whom she loved dearly, prior to his passing just months before their wedding. Connie was a devoted member of Fellowship Tabernacle in Delmar, Maryland, under the leadership of Pastor Leroy Ballard. She served faithfully on the Usher Board and on the Praise and Worship team. To know her was to know she had a heart of gold and she was blessed with the gifts of helps. She was willing to help anyone, anywhere, at any time and in any way she could. She was often heard saying ""I'll help anybody if I can."" While her passing weighs heavily on the hearts of those who knew her and loved her, she left this earth doing what she did best - helping someone along her way. Connie was preceded in death by two sisters Valarie Garrison and Naomi Melvin and four brothers Alvin Melvin, Curtis Melvin, Herman Melvin, and Lonnie Melvin. She leaves to celebrate her memory: two sons: Jermaine Garrison of Salisbury, MD and Perlish Garrison (Ametra) of Bridgeville, DE; two daughters: Angela Garrison and Shawanda Garrison, both of Bridgeville, DE; six brothers Donald Garrison (Matt) of Ocean View, DE, Joseph Garrison (Van) of Frankford, DE , Earl Garrison of Georgetown, DE, Kenneth Westcott Jr and Kelvin Westcott, both of Seaford, DE and Alfred Westcott , Frankford, DE; eleven sisters: Violet Handy of Selbyville, DE, Wendy Garrison of Seaford, DE, and Robbin Thompson (Doug) of, Bridgeville, DE, Lourethra "" Ree"" (Juan) Ortiz of Salisbury, MD, Angel Melvin of Princess Anne, MD, Cat Melvin of Amity Harbor, NY, Nadine Melvin of Parmele, NC, Unique Melvin, of West Palm Beach, FL, Valerie Westcott of Millsboro, DE, Brenda Westcott of Dagsboro, DE, and Linda Westcott of Laurel, DE; 18 grandchildren, best friends: Pastor Brenda Showell and Mary Conway; three mothers of love: Mable Custis, Rosalie Handy, and Elmira Spady, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends, and loved ones.
