OBITUARY OF MR. CONWELL SHOWELL Conwell Showell, 83 of Selbyville, DE, departed this life on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, DE. He was born in Bishopville on October 16, 1931, to the late William Showell and Mildred Walters Showell. In addition to his parents, Conwell was preceded in death by one daughter Delema Mitchell, six brothers William Showell, Herbert Showell, Milton Showell, Harrison Showell, Hodges Showell, Martina Showell and one sister, Bernice Holland. Conwell loved fishing and hunting. He also loved working out in the yard and socializing with friends he came in contact with. He made a career in driving truck with Thor-good Concrete, Showell Farms, Norman Long trucking and BFI Waste Management. He later took interest in another career and went to work for Emings BBQ in Bishopville, MD until he decided to stay home to become the caregiver for his loving sweetheart as he called her his ""Popcorn."" He leaves to cherish his precious memories with: his devoted companion, Mary Sue Tingle of 61 years, four daughters, Connie Mann and Lavern Tankard both of Dagsboro, De, Annette (Victor) Street of Ellendale, DE, and Denise Showell who lived at home in Selbyville, DE, two sons, Harry Tingle of New Castle, DE, Conwell, Jr -""Rick"" (Darlene) Showell of Millsboro, DE one sister, Vita Savage of Selbyville, DE, three sister-in-law, Jean Showell of Columbia, MD and Barbara Showell of Frederica, DE, Rosie Mae Showell of Dover, DE; one son-in-law, Edgar Mitchell, Sr. (Teresa) of Millsboro, DE, 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A viewing will be held from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966. Services and burial will be private.
