CORA LEE LOFLAND's Obituary
Cora Lee Lofland, age 62, passed away in Bayhealth Milford Memorial Hospital on Friday, December 11 after sustaining severe injuries in an automobile accident. For the past several years, she lived in Ellendale with several family members.
Cora Lee was born on September 17, 1953 to William and Cora Lofland. She devoted her life to taking care of the children around her and considered herself a defender of the defenseless.
Her survivors include one son, Nelson Lofland; her son's partner, Sherri Miller; three grandchildren, Nelson Henry, Jayda Lofland, and Anisa Lofland; four sisters, Mary Robinson, Willa Lofland, Frances Lofland, and Virginia Moss; and one brother, Carlton Lofland. She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, many of whom she raised. They include Kim Lofland, Kendra Lofland, Arthur Lofland, Milton Lofland, Kelly Lofland, Kevin Lofland, Edward Lofland, Shomona Lofland, Shyneice Porter, Shamir Jackson, and Jason Dunn, Jr.
Cora Lee enjoyed doing puzzles, reading her Bible, and cleaning. But most of all, she enjoyed taking care of and spending time with children, many of whom brought her immense delight. She will be deeply missed.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 12:00 pm at St. John 2nd Baptist Church, 26602 Mt. Joy Road, Millsboro, DE 19966, where there will be a viewing from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. Burial will be private. All who knew and loved Cora Lee are welcome.
