Cordia Washington Warrington IV's Obituary
Cordia Washington Warrington IV, 76, of Georgetown, Del., entered eternal life on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. A successful small business owner and avid race car enthusiast, he proudly raced under the number 21.
A former member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Laurel, Del., Cordia found joy in attending hymn sings and spending time with his church family. However, his heart truly belonged to his large family. He took great pride in supporting his children’s many endeavors and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 30 years, Mary Nell Warrington; his parents, Cordia and Madeline Warrington; and his younger siblings, Bonnie and Larry Warrington.
He will be deeply missed by his loving siblings, Patsy Brittingham, Gary Warrington, Phyllis Hayes, and Diane Kahler; his devoted children and grandchildren: son Jeff Leong and his children, Noah and Emma; son Todd Leong, his wife, Grace, and their children, Erin, Matthew, Sara and Anderson; daughter Karen Warrington West, her husband Gilbert, and their children, Stephanie, John “J.D.,” Heather, Carrie, and their families; daughter Julie Dmiterchik, her husband, Mark, and their children, Cody, Carly, and their families; daughter Cordelia Zook, her husband, Justin, and their children, Kaleb, Greyson, Kennedy and Ismael; son C.W. Warrington, his wife Christina, and his children, Mackenzie, Savannah, and Charli; and daughter Bonnie Yurkanin, her husband, Brian, and their children, Ethan and Everlee. He will also be fondly remembered by his dear friend and caregiver, Marie Goswellen.
Funeral services will be held on February 25, 2025, at 11:00 am with a viewing from 10:00 am -11:00 am at Watson Funeral Home and Crematorium, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE. Interment will be held at Cokesbury Cemetery in Georgetown, DE, immediately following the service.
Flowers accepted, but donations are encouraged to be sent to Delaware Hospice, in honor of Cordia’s memory.
