CORNELIUS V CADMUS's Obituary
Mr. Cornelius Vreeland Cadmus of Georgetown, DE passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2015. He was 74 years old. Mr. Cadmus was born in New Brunswick, NJ to the late Cornelius V. Cadmus Sr. and Lucy Pearl Latham Cadmus. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Ann Cadmus in 2005, his son, Cornelius V. Cadmus, III in 2007, and two sisters, Sandra Wilcox and Suzanne Lesko. Cornelius retired from Union Carbide, Linde Division. He also worked at Rutgers University as a Technician with the Atom Super Collider. In his earlier years while living in New Jersey he served as an ambulance volunteer with the Blue Cross and was also an instructor of emergency medical services. Cornelius was a US Navy Veteran. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather and was adored by his family. He is survived by two daughters, Donna Franklin and her husband Billy of Dagsboro, DE and Elizabeth Eagle and her husband Robert of Georgetown, DE; brother-in-law, Thomas Heide and his wife Linda of Piscataway, NJ; along with four grandchildren, Shanna, Jonathan, Amanda, Megan and four great grandchildren, Kirra, Baylie, Austyn and Aurora, as well as his canine friend ""Chance"". A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966, where friends may call after 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
