Marie rode my bus when we were in school and was also a classmate. She was always in my homeroom. I'm very sorry to hear she has passed. She called me one year and tried her best to talk me into attending a class reunion. I didn't go to that one but I did go to the next one and she didn't attend any more after the time she wanted me to go. I have always wished that I had gone so I could have visited with her. My condolences to her family. She isn't hurting anymore and is with her savior. God Bless you Marie.
I am sorry to learn of the death of my classmate from Newark High School (Class of 1960). Marie was just as you described, a fun person who was a great member of our class. Her maiden last name Cobourn began with a C and for many years depending on the how the high school divided things up, I was in her homeroom -- D -- for Davis. We both got yelled at more than once for talking when we were supposed to studying. I'm especially sorry she was sick for a long time. I am sure she is at peace now. Tom Davis - NHS1960
