Dallas Nathaniel Wright's Obituary
Dallas Nathaniel (Pete Jim) Wright was born the son of the late Robert (Bobby) Clinton Wright Sr. and Corlezia (Clark) Wright on June 7", 1946. He departed this life on April l", 2025 at his home with his daughters by his side.
Pete attended the Nanticoke Indian Elementary School and then Millsboro High School, now known as Sussex Central. He served in the US Army for a short time but was medically discharged.
After returning home, he was a Truck Driver for a while, then pursued a career in carpentry and painting.
Pete was a member of the IRVFC for a few years. He enjoyed creating art for the Nanticoke Indian Museum along with debating political views and philosophizing on life's issues. Pete was a member of the Indian Mission UMC, the Nanticoke Indian Association and was a self-taught photographer documenting pictorial memories of Pow Wows, Heritage days, and community activities involving the Native American Community.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, a baby sister who was their first¬ born, 3 other sisters, Carrie Davis, Conchita Clark and Lillie Davis: a brother, Charles L. Wright and a daughter, Gwendolyn Doughty.
He leaves to cherish his memory, one brother, Robert (Boog) C. Wright Jr., (Anita) of Millsboro, Delaware, 2 daughters, Lesley Wright and Brandi Wright both of Millsboro, 5 grandchildren, Brandyn, Travis Jr, Trinity, Bryanna and Taryn; 2 nieces, Sandy and Altrenia, 2 nephews, Troy and Billy; 1 uncle, Jack Clark, and several cousins.
Per Dallas' request, there will be no services.
